popping on my right side??

I’m waiting on my MRI results to try and confirm my endometriosis,I’ve been back and forth for 4years now,the other day I over stretched and felt a painful pop on my right side and now my swelling and pain won’t go away even with my daily morphine, tramodol and naproxen.I was told I had Adenomiosis after my 3rd child and wondered if many people end up with both diseases??and I’d I should be worried about the pop I felt and that my swelling hasn’t gone away

Hi Panwendy

Thanks for your post. Hoping your MRI results bring some answers, it sounds like you've been on a really long and tough journey so far. And the popping sensation you're experiencing sounds excruciating, I'm sorry 😔 Have you spoken to a nurse or a GP at your surgery for some advice on treating it? That could be the best thing to do.

Please be aware that endometriosis doesn't always show up on scans, and is officially diagnosed via laparoscopic surgery.

To answer your question about adenomyosis and endometriosis occurring together: yes, it is very common for people to have both conditions (I have both). They do require different treatments though, so it's important to distinguish between them. Endometriosis UK recorded a webinar about adenomyosis which you can watch here to learn more: endometriosis-uk.org/adenom...

Hope you find some relief soon , the community is here for you!

Take care,

Claudia

Thank you replying to me so quickly,I am definitely going to speak to my doctor about the popping and see what they suggest as it’s effecting my mental health as well now! Fingers crossed they can help 🤞🏼 Again I appreciate your advice 😊

You're welcome 😊 Great plan, I hope it goes well with the doctor and they can find a way to treat it. Sorry to hear it's affecting your mental health. Being in pain so frequently is very draining, isn't it? We all understand how you feel. If you ever want to chat to someone, Endometriosis UK has a helpline run by volunteers with endo, who are there just to listen and support. The rota is here: endometriosis-uk.org/helpline

Take care,

Claudia
