Pain on right side underneath ribs

Hi all, I am waiting to go in for a total hysterectomy! I have got pain which almost feels like it’s burning on my right side underneath my ribs. Has anyone ever had similar?

I get this on both sides but worse on my left , even tho all my pain is right sided I am blessed with the left side burning and it burns like hell....does it hurt more if you sit/lie a certain way? Mine does

Yes it does hurt more if I lie on my right side so I have bought one of those new long hot water bottles, it helps in a small way.

Right sided pain has gradually worsened over the past 2 1/2 years, the burning under ribs has been about 18 months

You must be in agony! Has this got worse with the Endometriosis?

Yeah I've developed a limp through it all and cant walk too far, today I have nerve pain on my right bum cheek and its driving me nuts ...been lying with a ice pack on it I look delightful lol....I use a tens machine and it helps a bit but the constant pain makes me feel so down and stops me doing things even tho I fight it and do things I just get to the point were i have no choice but to curl up i really cant wait for surgery to open up again when this covid calms down

I really feel for you! Have you been given a date for surgery yet?

All surgery is cancelled until this lockdown is over and then they have a big back log to catch up with so just have to plod along for now

I was given a date in Dec then that as cancelled on the day, given another date for Jan then lockdown started! Hopefully we won’t have long too wait, good luck 🤞🏼

Hi I had a totally hysterectomy a few years back. I don’t remember having burning pain before it just agony. Sorry I can’t be more specific. I wish you all the best with the surgery and hope your pain free afterwards.
