Do you also get Muscle tightness and soreness?

Hello beautiful ppl.

Hope you're all enjoying bank holiday.

So my question is about muscle tightness and soreness.

Initially I thought it was because I was on zoladex. Basically my muscles became weak around my knees. I started going to the gym and got this soreness above my knee since February, it has never stopped. What the personal trainer said was that it looked like muscle tightness,I tried self massage, foam roller, etc. But nothing has worked so far.

The thing is that it has spread all over my legs and now to my pelvic area, so much so that high fiber diet gives me cramps and orgasm also gives me pain. When searching online muscle tightness keeps coming up.

My question is if any you get something like this as well? Any suggestions? How do I explain this to my doctor?

I feel that I will just be dismissed, but working out hasn't helped, breaks from working out didn't help either, massage etc didn't too. I am not sure if this is a common result from zoladex, if it's something else like fibromyalgia, or chronic fatigue, or is it just Endometriosis coming back after my surgery. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

This week I will be having my first scan after my laparoscopy in December so who knows if any of the adhesions, cysts, etc have come back.

Hi,I don’t know if my reply will help you a great deal but I too am having sever joint and muscle pains. My GP has requested blood tests for inflammation.

I’ve had endo all my life and have given up with my symptoms and the health service in UK.

I was told I had stage 4 endo and that it was so bad they could see it on my scan at this time I also had an endometrial cyst in my right ovary which resulted in the right ovary and Fallopian tube being removed. The gynaecologist also did a mass clear out in there and the endo got better for several years.

Starting menopause now and joint pain all over and leg pains and endo in mouth and gums and all other symptoms have returned. It’s a horrible disease that no one seems to acknowledge 😢.

I’m waiting for blood test results with little hope and managing with aromatherapy oils, heat packs on joints and basic analgesia (allergies to strong ones)

I feel for you, I hope you can find something that helps you. So the joints might be because of menopause and since I was on zoladex that must be why. I'll book an appointment with my GP to see.

Thank you for sharing ❤️

I've found seeing a women's health physio who does pelvic floor physio and muscular skeletal physio really helpful. She said years of being in pain has contributed to all the muscle tightness (over active fight or flight response). I usually respond well to dry needling to release them. She is also able to tell me if the pain is muscular or from other causes/illness like the endo in which case she obviously can't treat it. We've done work on everything from my knees to my neck as my body seems to rotate it's areas of tightness! I have had to fund this myself though. It might be useful to investigate a women's specialist physiotherapist like this and get an assessment.
