Bleeding after Hysterectomy

Has anyone else experienced bleeding 3 weeks post op after total Hysterectomy? It started the day after the op as heavy as a normal period but hasn't stopped. I've been to the hospital and they have said it's probably a haematoma draining and they have given me antibiotics even though my bloods show no infection. The blood is constant not spotting it's red but with no clots or bad smell, has anyone else experienced this and if so how long did it last and was it a haematoma? I feel a bit fobbed off by hospital as it took 3 days to be seen as they were so busy and they had no resources hence the wait. Thanks everyone

Hello. I'm 4 weeks post excision & total hysterectomy (diagnosed in Dec 2021 after complaining since 1995 & misdiagnosed) and in the same position.

I'm on my 3rd lot of antibiotics for a bladder infection (it was damaged during surgery-it was stuck to my uterus & bowel).

During my telephone conversation with my GP yesterday, I mentioned the bleeding and he said 'it can be quite prolonged'.

He said to mention it to my consultant during my follow up appointment in 2 months.

I'm sorry I can be more help and I'm as concerned as you, but my GP thought it quite normal!
