Endo after hysterectomy
Hiya Nic, I had a total hysterectomy 8 weeks ago and for the past two weeks I've been getting the same pains as before the op. I went to the hospital yesterday and the doctor said that it was just everything settling down.
She then said if the pain doesn't go it isn't gynae related but that is a load of rubbish because the endo could still be in the nerves.....
Sorry I can't be anymore help. Did they start you on HRT?
Take care xx
Hi yes was started on hrt 3days after op it defo helps reduce menopause symptoms but the hormones may be feeding any endo that was left behind back at doctors next week to see what they think the pain is
Hi ladies, from all the research I have done, a hysterectomy does not cure Endometriosis, it just slows it down and can then start in other organs of the body, sorry to say but there is no none cure, which is a bit shit for us ladies, men don't know easy they have it.
Hi Nic,
I had a LAVH and BSO Feb 2016 plus excision of deep infiltrating endo. I was left with pain in my left side immediately following the hysterectomy. To cut a long story short I went to another BSGE centre and 5 weeks ago I had a laparoscopy to remove deep endo nodules on my left uterosacral ligament. I am only on a low dose hrt and blood tests show that my oestrogen levels are very low. Looks like there is no end to this horrible disease. X
Quick update been referred for an ultra sound to see what's going on nxt fri and if the endo has grown on other organs x
