Rectal Bleeding, Endo and Adenomyosis

Hi, I had my lap and excision in September and diagnosed with adenomyosis and endo. Over the past few months, the abdominal pain has steadily began again alongside rectal bleeding. I had the Mirena coil fitted 2 weeks ago to see if this would help (I’ve been on mini-pill since before my surgery).

I was advised by my surgeon from my follow up in Nov that he now seen the endo as “completely treated” but the adenomyosis “may cause some ongoing issues.”

I’m starting to worry the endo has grown back around my bowels as I wasn’t aware if adenomyosis could cause bowel issues aswell like the rectal bleeding, nausea, bloating. I paid privately for my surgery and I’m worrying it wasn’t as successful as I initially thought. Could the endo have grown back this quickly (8 months)?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts 💕

Hey lovely,

It is very possible that it has come back although your symptoms could quite possibly be caused by Adenomyosis, all our pelvic organs are so close together that they easily be affected should there be a problem with one specific organ 👎 I would definately get another opinion if you can.

Sending you love x
