Hi, I had my laparoscopy surgery over two months ago now. Has anyone every experienced a change in the bowel habits after surgery, in terms of not being able to go to the toilet for 4-5 days. I drink enough water and I am not on any medication

Hi. I’m 2.5weeks post op and have noticed this but in the other direction - I get cramping and a sudden urgency to empty my bowels. Was your endo affecting your bowel too / did they have to do bowel shaving etc? Mine did and I was told it can take 6-12wks to fully settle.

If you’re worried though then do you have a follow up appointment - I’m sure you can discuss it with the doctor then?

If u have a no sensitivity or allergies to magnesium citrate - try that before bed it relaxes the muscles and helps you sleep but a good side effect is it loosens poo and helps u go easier - I had terrible constipation after having a flare and this really helped me to get a bit back to normal
