suspected endo
Hi I’m on the progesterone only pill and that’s all the gynaecologist kept suggesting to help with the pain. For me it really doesn’t work at all, my pain is worse when I sit still for too long. I exercise as much as I can as even though it hurts a bit whilst doing it, it feels like it helps.
I’m on a waiting list for my diagnostic laparoscopy, I have an ultrasound next week.
is this your first op and first scan
It will be my first op! I’ve had a few ultrasounds as I had a large cyst on my left ovary last year but it shrank on its own so they want to check again.
what symptoms you got for suspected endo
Constant pain in my left side! Pelvis pain. Hip pain, sore to the touch. Pins and needles and pains down my left leg. Pain when having sex. It gets worse at time of the month, my periods are irregular and I bleed quite a few times a month.
do you get pain outside period what’s it feel like
Yeah it’s constant pain it just gets worse when it’s the time of the month. It’s a dull ache with sharp stabbing pains.
I take Cerazette mini pill which has stopped my periods and haven't had any pain since taking it. I hope it works out for you too. Good luck!
Hi, I started taking Desogestral (POP) last June while waiting for gynaecology referral – it took about 6 months to completely settle – but I haven't bleed at all now since December. There's still pain, but it's become more manageable (also taking Mefenamic Acid) while I wait for treatment. Finally been given the date for my first laparoscopy, next week – I'm not sure I would've managed the long wait without it.
hope it goes all well for you im on a long waiting list still let me know how it all goes x
The limbo of waiting is just the worst. Are you on anything for pain relief or just the POP? Mefenamic Acid has helped dull my pain - it's not gone, but made it more manageable. Hope you're not left waiting too long x
i’ve got them tablets but puts me off taking them as says bad for heart i usually get worse pain for two days then it eases a little for 7-9 days in total like a dull ache where womb is a sometimes on right side
Yeah mine is similar since I've been on the pill. So the risks of heart attack or stroke are really rare unless you have heart condition already? It's is an anti-inflammatory - so basically a prescription grade ibuprofen. My GP said the main side effect is to the stomach, so I'm also prescribed something that protects my stomach lining, and make sure I eat before taking it. It really helps me, but I totally understand if you're not comfortable with it. I also take CBD oil - another anti inflammatory but more natural! Again, it's helped me but won't be for everyone. I hope you find something that gives you some relief - living in pain is exhausting
it makes my anxiety bad i do have cbd oil i forget to take it how long you take it
I’ve used cbd oil everyday for about 2 years now… a few drops under my tongue in the morning after I’ve brushed my teeth and again before I go to bed. I always have to take things at the same time otherwise I totally forget too 🤯 On days when the pain is really bad I’ll have a few more drops if I need it, in between the mefenamic acid, as you can only take 3 of those per day and sometimes that’s not enough!
