Heya just wondering if anyone has had endo or anything spotted on a vaginal ultrasound thing? Saw gynae for review on Fri as been having new symptoms and he said there was a patch of something that could be endo, but also could not be, and that I was tender over one ovary too! I'm having a laparoscopy to be on the safe side in next couple of weeks but just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience? Reassuringly though he agreed with me that endo can be missed on an mri and that despite me being on the mini pill and having no period since my last surgery, he also said it can still come back, the pill just slows its regrowth down - I was worried he might think I was silly going back x

Endo found on vaginal ultrasound?

Personally my endo never showed on any ultrasounds- I never had an mri just pelvic ultrasound. It did show via lap done by my fertility doctor.
The only true way to diagnose endometriosis is via laparoscopy it’s great your gynae is doing one.
I’m awaiting another laparoscopy as my endo symptoms have returned since my miscarriage. It’s true it can come back it is a chronic condition for which there is no cure ☹️
Good luck with your laparoscopy hope it goes well xoxo
My endo never showed up on my scans - good luck with the laparoscopy xx
The lady who did my ultrasound said that everything was ‘sticky’ and not flowing freely when I had my transvaginal scan. She said this is usually because of the webbing from endometriosis... and low and behold I have the endo where the stickiness was on the scan! X
It wasn't found on my ultrasound carried out at the local hospital but at the bsge clinic they were able to see it - they found 4 lesions that were 2cm plus in size, plus adenomyosis. There was more when they did the lap but it is possible to see it if the radiographer knows what they are looking for and the disease is severe (as ultrasound generally won't show anything smaller than 1cm)
