Cerazette and anxiety

Hi ladies

Hope everyone is okay! Did anyone get put on the mini pill and start to experience anxiety? I've been on it for 8 months and it has massively helped my endo pain but i think its the cause for my anxiety (started around 2 weeks ago) constantly feeling dizzy,overwhelmed and like i want to burst out crying

The last time i had anxiety really bad was 3 years ago and that was due to coming off the depo injection

Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry to hear the pill has caused you to feel anxious. Speaking from my personal experience having been on cerazette for 4 years now, I can say that it took a really long time for the symptoms to settle both physically and mentally. During the first month, I had teenage mood swings (no thank you 🤣) and I felt really teary too. I did speak to my GP and pharmacist about it and was encouraged to prevail, and this was the right decision for me as the pill reduced my pain days by 50%.

However, I think it's really important that you listen to your body and do what's best for you. If you feel like the anxiety is having too much of a negative impact on your life, then it is worth discussing this with your GP. You do not have to put up with it! Your mental health is as important as your physical health 😊 From what I understand, the symptoms you've described can be side effects and there is a chance that they will ease.
