First Laparoscopy

Hi everyone I had my first ever lap on Thursday and I'm feeling just fine.

I was diagnosed with endometriosis she said it was dotted about, and removed from/ around the pouch of Douglas. I had a cyst drained from my left ovary. I also had cysts removed from ends of my tubes. She also did the dye test as one of my tubes looked blocked from a scan. Left tube is blocked but she said both look healthy and didn't need to be removed. She also said I had pelvic congestion. Has anyone else been diagnosed with this or heard? I weirdly feel happy and relief that I finally know what's wrong with me. You think you are going mad. I've fought and fought for this and complained since I was 8. I am now 35, my advice don't give up fight to be heard, force to be referred and keep going. The pain from the Lap is fine my belly button just feels a little tender. My period pain is a million times worse than this. I'll be seeing her in 6 weeks to see what's the plan next. Good luck to you all and keep on fighting. I know this is just the beginning for me but I feel like a weight has been lifted.

Much love ❤️ xx

Glad you are recovering well 😊I’ve been diagnosed with pelvic congestion too on CT, so would be interested to here people’s experiences/thoughts on how significant it is to explaining pelvic pain.

How are u doing Lilmuzza??I have not long been diagnosed with pelvic congestion via a ultrasound.

I'm also on the waiting list for a laparoscopy, apparently I'm 3rd on the list so not long now.

The pain is just awful 😖

Hi .I just wondered how your go responded to your pelvic congestion diagnosis.I had an ultrasound a gp rang me and told me i had pelvic congestion..Didnt tell me anythong else on the phone at all.No follow up treatment or any info. Was in dire pain so rang and got an appointment with another male doctor.I told him all my dreadful pain symptoms tellong him it was severe and dibilitating during my menstral cycle and said i was diagnosed with pelvic congestion on my ultrasound..He completely dismissed this as the problem said it was a controversial diagnosis. Now they say i have endo.Completely confused x

Hiya, I had a laparoscopy which revealed Adenomyosis . This seems to be the culprit of all my pains/ symptoms.

I am now on the waiting list for a hysterectomy.

Bless you 😞 it's awful isn't it & such a bloody battle to get the right help & diagnosis.

Are you having a laparoscopy?

Omg that's awful, bless you! I would keep on at them, keep pushing. Tell them how much pain your in & how it's affecting your daily life. They can fast track it.

Don't let them fib you off, it's not fair. Especially after how you have been treated 💜

Always here if you want a chat x
