I have been suffering very bad right sided headaches that can go on for hours, sometimes days and fatigue that just floors me, I don’t sleep well at night and have night sweats, I soak though everything, then I all I want to do is sleep all day. This has been happening more often lately, at least once a week, except the night sweats which is every night ( worse period time) although there doesn’t seem to be a pattern to it.
I just wondered if anyone suffered these symptoms and could it be from endometriosis? I’m wondering if I should ask for my bloods to be checked…
I’m not on any hormonal treatment, 40 years old so possibly to young for menopause . I have confirmed deep endometriosis and I’m awaiting an appointment with a BSGE centre.

Hi there, I'm 41, I've got stage 3 pelvic Endo & I suffer with headaches & disturbed sleep. I sometimes wake up at night & am unable to go back to sleep. Then I feel fatigue the next day. I initially thought I had insomnia & was going through the menopause but the rest of the symptoms like severe pelvic pain (like someone's stabbing me) , irregular periods (more frequent) & pain during sex all pointed to Endo. I'm currently waiting for a hysteroscopy (to remove some large polyps & insert the Mirena). I'm also on the waiting list for a Laproscopy (I'd rather have it excised than wait till it does more harm). I'm not currently on any other medication. I have started to take vitamins regularly though as the irregular & heavy periods resulted in me needing iron transfusions. Hope this helps somehow. Xx
I am 41. I had about 2 weeks of night sweets last year. Then it was gone. I had another episode (couple of days) recently. I do not sleep well, but I believe it just my nerves and I need to relax and enjoy life without worrying about things. Anyway, I talked recently to a friend who is in her 50s and she said these can be signs of menopause. It just does not hit you all of the sudden, but rather crawls in slowly over the years So I decided it is what it is and do not think much about it. ( I have Mirena)
Hi There.I am sorry to hear what you are going through.
The symptoms you have described is linked to endo. I had severe headaches, period all of the place, sometimes light, some heavy, fatigue, moody, anxiety, hot flashes, night sweats etc. I thought I was going through the menopause.
The Gp couldn't find anything wrong with me, blood test came back normal. Until back in September 2021, where all of a sudden I had sereve abdominal pains where it left me curly in a ball and I couldn't get up I was in such pain. The operator refused to sent ambulance and my partner had to rush me to A and E. I had CT scan blood tests and was given pain killer to ease my pain. The CT scan came back with a large cyst on my left ovary so I was referred urgent to a gynecologist for a ultrasound. Then more bloid tests because my white cells were sky high so another CT scan. The results came back that I had a 8 cm cyst sitting on my ovary, plevis wall and rectum.
At this stage hadn't a clue what type of cyst it was. So I was booked in for a laparscorpy surgery in October then they cancelled my first op then I was booked in for surgery again in November 2021. The cyst was endometrioma that was giving all these symptoms.
Have you tried sage good for hot flashes, go with the flow vitamins good for hormones, PMS, hot flashes. Maybe talk to your GP about hormone treatment to ease your symptoms. Keep pushing for your appointment get on there back, I found that if I didn't push I would still not known what was wrong with me and it affected my mental health.
Hi! I have endo and have been experiencing the exact symptoms for the last three months. My GP sent me for another blood test while I await my appointment with the endo clinic. I feel like it’s endo related because all my scans etc have come back normal but headaches every day are def not normal.
Do you also get neck and back pain or acid reflux? I have those symptoms daily, so I was thinking the headaches could be from the stress and pain of those?
It could be the start of peri menopause, I had this for quite a few years always a week or 2 before period started they were also irregular. After my period it settled then started again. To have blood tests to check hormones is quite useless at this stage unless they do several over your cycle. Have a look for dr Louise Newson she has lots of information and see if it helps you.
