In November 2021, I had laparoscopic surgery removal of endometrioma from my left ovary and rectum, the cyst the surgeon removed was 8cm. I am all new to this and half the time the doctors do not explain things to you. Has anyone had a MRI after there laparoscopic in November The sugeron did say what stage endo, did mention any treatment? Since the lap has relieved the pain but still get pain when menstrual is due and when ovulating, it scares me. I am completely lost, I have two appointments one with GP on Friday and one with gynecologist in February. Has anyone been through this? When you get lack of information from your sugeron.

Hi, so I am having my MRI after as well. I had a laparoscopy in December 21 and was diagnosed with stage 4 and I’m away to have my MRI this week. My period was much better since my surgery but my ovulation was awful. I’m having my MRI due to my Endo being widespread on my bowels / bladder then not sure of my next steps. Take care x
Had laparoscopy in august 2019. They couldnt do anything as they realise i was stage 4 endo and it was too severe to do anything as i was in a clinic. I was referred to a specialist surgeon in endometriosis at st james cook hospital. I had a total hysterectomy with removal of ovaries on 25th november. Endo spread all over my bowell, rectum, pouch of douglas. Change surgeon if he is not specialist
An MRI after a laparoscopy is usually carried out if deep endometriosis is suspected. You can read a little bit more about endometriosis on the bowel at the following link: endometriosis-uk.org/endome...
