In September 2021 I was rushed to A and E with severe lower abdominal pain and pelivs. I was diagnosed with endometriosis, in November 2021 In November 2021 I was booked in for laparoscopic surgery. Procedure was drainage of endometrioma ovary cyst left side and also was adherent in pelivs to side wall and rectum.
My question is can endometriosis return after surgery? If so is there anything I can take to prevent endometriosis returning? Also can anyone answer this question, can you still get pregnant after endometriosis cyst be removed or could the cyst have damaged the left ovary and to hard to get pregnant naturally?
Thanks.

Unfortunately I don’t have a great reply for you. My experience has been a difficult journey, I have had 3 different surgeries to get rid of the endometriosis and ruptured cysts etc. i have been told by my consultant that endometriosis can return and nothing can ultimately prevent it from coming back.
There are ways to control and maintain a low pain level, which you can find on different webpages or podcasts, a fab one is ThisEndoLife - thisendolife.com. 😁
With regards to pregnancy, it’s different for each individual, some can still get pregnant and don’t unfortunately become infertile. I would suggest arranging an appointment with your consultant who did the surgery to ask questions you need answers to. Hopefully they can give you a better understanding about your particular journey, and guidance going forward.
There are so many wonderful stories and tips on this site, so I would also suggest taking abit of time and reading some of the posts here ☺️.
