Painful/swollen lymph nodes. Endo?

Hello everyone! I got diagnosed with endo in 2018. My Periods got slightly better after surgery but have got increasingly more painful over time. I’ve been having a lot of pain in my groin, I have about 5 swollen lymph nodes that are very visible on the surface of my skin. I’ve just had a CT scan, and now waiting to hear from the Dr. Has anyone else had problems with their lymph system relating to having endo? They have been swollen for roughly about 6 months now.

Thank you!

Hi Holly,

I am one of the Endo UK health unlocked moderators. That sounds painful, I hope you get results quickly from the doctor. Its not something I have heard of before, but I am interested to see what others have to say. In the meantime there are a number of support options from Endo UK, I have included a link below for your info. Take care.

Hiya! This is interesting… I am due to have some blood tests in a few days, because I’ve had painful swollen lymph nodes for a couple of months now. The armpits and groin especially are bugging me, so uncomfortable! I haven’t had a medical opinion on it yet, but I do think it could be something to do with having endo?? I have joint aches and pains with it, feel run down. I also feel kind of weak and think I felt my heart racing a couple of times for no particular reason. Not really got other signs of infection, though it’s hard to tell when you’re in pain every day anyway! Hope you’re feeling better soon & I’ll try to remember to update here after the blood tests. Xxx

Thank you so much for this message! I have also had blood tests which came back negative, so I would only assume they were looking for infection! I also have pain in the armpit too, but not as nearly as noticeable and painful as the groin area. With it being such a long time for us both I feel it to be unlikely to be an infection? But hopefully they might give me an idea from the CT scan, and if they investigate it I will be sure to keep you updated!! Many thanks Holly xxxx

hollywenonah Purple_Badgers Hi there, I am waiting for the surgery (endo cyst removal) but I am struggling with the same symptoms as you. Can you tell me what was your outcome? That the doctors said? I am not sure whether it is worth to bother my GP before surgery.
