Hi all! I'm new here. Aged 38. Diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis 2 months ago after being ignored for 20 years!
Anyway, Dr wants me to try ablation and currently I'm ready to try anything. 1st she said a biopsy would be taken the same time as ablation but then rang me back and said it had been decided they wanted biopsy results prior to ablation.
I wasn't given any advice on what to expect afterwards but had read online to expect bleeding for 2 days afterwards. After 7 days of bleeding I contacted GP to check if that was normal. GP was quite concerned about it and thought I possibly had an infection. I take immunosuppressants so have to be very careful about infections of any kind so he put me on 2 types of antibiotics for 2 weeks but said if the bleeding was from an infection it should stop after 4 days on antibiotics. On the 3rd day I got my period so there was no way of knowing what was going on really. My period ended very abruptly however the type of bleeding I'd had prior to my period continued. So I again contacted my GP who was a different guy to the 1st, and he was quite dismissive and said I need to speak to the gynae. I know you'll be laughing at that part! It's like trying to speak to God! He kinda suggested that maybe there's a "sinister" reason for bleeding after biopsy which won't be clarified until the results are back! Cheers doc, merry Christmas to you too! 😂
If anyone can shed light on the above with their own experience I'd be very grateful indeed!
If you got this far, thanks for reading 😘
