This is a quick summary of what I have been going through the last few months.

- I visited my doctor at beginning of August regarding blood pressure and concerns about PCOS. -Experiencing symptoms and pain on/off since Christmas lasting a few hours every few weeks. -Since July pain is much more frequent and have been experiencing intense pain from 13/08/21 this often makes me cry out in pain/unable to move. The pain can be on the left/right side or in the middle. It often moves and sometimes can be a stabbing pain or a heavy weighted pain. Sometimes in my legs and back. - I visited A+E on 05/09/21 due to intense pain/unable to move. Received very little support and was sent home. - Booked and attended private ultrasound with Ultrasound Direct. This was external/internal and was extremely painful and caused a lot of distress. - Pain has made me feel very anxious and depressed. I am constantly in pain and worrying about the cause of this pain and finding it hard to go to work now due to the pain. - I have contacted the doctor a few times for different painkillers and asked to be referred to a specialist in the hospital. -I had an ultrasound scan in the hospital 2 weeks ago and have not heard the results from that but have an appointment with a gynacologist on 19th November in the hospital. -I have been on the pill for many years. I have recently come off the pill to try and help with getting a diagnosis. It has been 4 weeks now and I haven't got my periods.

I am extremely concerned about PCOS and Endometriosis and I am experiencing many symptoms including: Anxiety/Depression Fatigue Bloating and IBS Struggling to empty bladder Nausea Headaches Lower back and pelvic pain Thinning hair and hair loss Hair growth on the face Acne

I am not sure how to prepare for this appointment on the 19th November or what to expect. I am very anxious about this and terrified I won't be taken seriously. I am mentally and physically in a bad place and just want to get answers and find out what's wrong.

Any help or guidance from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much, T xxx

HiIt always helps to write a symptom diary and hand it to the consultant as appts are often rushed so it’s handy. Also write a list of questions you would like to ask as I always come out thinking should have said this or that. I hope it all goes well and you find some answers, keep us posted x

HelloThank you so much your reply.

I am currently filling out a pain journal and at the time of my appointment I will be able to provide them with 5 weeks of pain/symptom tracking. I am also going to bring along a food diary (decided to try GF) just incase they ask for that too.

I saw on Endometriosis support.org there is a consultation questionnaire which I was going to fill in and bring also.

What sort of questions do you think I should be asking?

Thanks so much xxx
