Hi all! I am now officially one week post lap and excision, seem to be healing and recovering well. Just wondering, when does the tummy swelling start to go down? My tummy still feels swollen and bloated and I’m starting to wonder whether it’s swelling or weight gain from all the bed rest and carbs hahaha

So pleased to hear that your recovery is going well since your surgery! Everybody is different, and the abdominal swelling will go down at different times for everyone. There isn't really a set time frame. After my surgery, I did find that my abdomen was swollen for a month or so, particularly around the areas where the incisions were made as they needed time to heal. Keep resting and recovering, and looking after yourself, and you'll get there 😊
