Alternatives to Decaptyl post surgery and trying to conceive.

Hi all, would really appreciate your help. I am having a laparoscopy in October, removal of endo +/- fallopian tube. I have been on Decaptyl (triptorelin) for 6 months with awful side effects (even with adback). The endo nurse mentioned I may need to stay on Decaptyl after the operation to my horror!

Question. Is is likely my surgeon will want to keep me on Decaptyl post surgery? If so why? Is there an alternative that has worked for others?. I really want to come off all drugs asap post surgery so just would love to hear your experiences. Time is also not on my side as would like to try to conceive. I understand if I have to take the drug but to what benefit.

Would love to hear if others experience Thank you so much
