Mirena problems

Has anyone experienced horrid symptoms with their Mirena? Been awake for 2 days. Cannot sleep, night sweats? Headache, nausea. I had the same last month. Really had enough now. The anxiety at night is horrendous!

My daughter felt real sick when she was on it. She had to go off it.

Hiya, sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish on it, I had one fitted in Jan after surgery but it didn't suit. I was on that with the degesterol pill, it made be very anxious and depressed, I first dropped the pill and then after a while had mirena removed too when things didnt fully resolve. It seems to really work for some people but not me. Maybe talk to your Dr? X

Thank you. The Drs are so desperate for me to keep it in for the sake of endo. But I just can't. Did your symptoms improve after removal? So desperate for some reassurance. Thanks for replying! X

I felt exactly the same and in the end decided to cold turkey it so to speak without anything. My bleeding is lighter post op. For me personally, I still get pain and feel post op I get more pain around ovulation time too-i do have it in my womb and they can't remove from there so I wasn't expecting pain free. I do feel in a better position having had the surgery for if I want to conceive too.

I take pain relief when I have to, I'm already gluten free and I've recently bought a tens machine from Ovira and it's been amazing and real game changer for me. I'm still on the hunt for more info and other new ideas to help though too x

Thanks I will not give up on her. I’m going to take her to another province if I have to. We live in Vancouver BC and the Gynocologist here are awful. I wish you all the luck in getting better as well
