Hi everyone. I've just been diagnosed with Endometriosis and I had a laparoscopy recently. I'm experiencing pains in my legs and arms post op, please tell me I'm not the only one?! I had got my leg checked for DVT already and three medical professionals have told me my leg pain is just a pulled muscle. As a sufferer from health anxiety I just need reassurance, I'm really struggling to cope and can't get out of my own head with checking any body sensations as a post op complication..

Have you had any other weird pains after surgery? How has your recovery been? Have you had post op anxiety? Let me know.. Btw if anyone needs to talk I'm here for you.

What meds are you on? Meds from the Opiates family (morphine, codeine etc) can cause or worsen anxiety in some people, so can sleep meds, if you're on them, you might want to have a word with your medical team about switching on to a non opiate painkiller if at all possible? x

Hi, I'm not on any painkillers atm, it's been a week and I don't have any physical pain from my surgery anymore - just a muscle in my leg hurts when I step on it. Similar pain in my arm like when you sleep weird only hurts in certain positions.

Hi! I'm currently 2 days post-op from my most recent lap and have all kinds of aches and pains! Think it's from not being very active at the moment.

Thank you for replying - my op was 7 days ago and not sure how long these are meant to go on for x

I know this is a little late, I have had a larascopy yet but I will be soon however from what I’ve heard from people who I know have they always have aches and pains, the gas they fill you up with on the surgery can really cause that especially shoulder pain. I’m not 100% sure if it’s factual but I’ve heard smaller people/ thinner tend to have more pain(this could be completely wrong tho) however recovery after this can last many weeks till your fully feeling better so I would just try keep relaxed and reassure yourself it’s natural and you just need time to heal, wishing you a fast recovery x
