Have you had bloods done to check your iron and thyroid or is it definitely just fatigue due to endo? I’m asking because I’ve since found out that I have an under active thyroid and I’m anaemic which is causing extra fatigue. Apparently under active thyroid is more common in ladies with endo so if you haven’t been checked already for that I’d ask them to have a look. Other than that if it’s the “normal” endo fatigue just be kind to yourself and don’t expect to much of yourself. Rest when you can and don’t feel ashamed to say you can’t do something. Take care and rest up xx

Hey, been tested for everything and all normal levels. I’ve not had endo officially diagnosed yet, I’m on the waiting list for my surgery but I have all the endo symptoms and have done for years. I’ve taken the day off work today to actually give into the tiredness! Xx

Hopefully if you get a diagnosis things will start to make sense and you can give yourself a break. When you have any illness you get tired because your body is fighting against something and all your energy is put in to healing but I’ve heard so many people with endo talking about the exhaustion that comes with it and I’ve definitely experienced that too so it’s more than likely that’s what you’re experiencing and it is normal. Make sure you’re having your multivitamins and iron and not overdoing things. Xx

There are lots of practical things you can do but be kind to yourself as you use a lot of energy healing and recharging takes time. I have reduced my fatigue to almost negligible by making lifestyle changes. I sleep trained, eat an anti inflammatory diet high in protein low in sugar, no alcohol and take regular exercise mostly pilates. I have gone from falling asleep standing up and dragging myself around and having investigations for narcolepsy to feeling energetic most of the time. I occasionally need a full stretch of 12 hours sleep but otherwise 10pm - 5.45am is ok with no naps in the day. I wish I could say the lifestyle changes have helped my pain levels but they have not. However I bounce back quicker than I did before. Its taken me 2 years to make all the changes bit by bit so I could stick with it all. I recommend reading The Balance Plan book (available from the library if you don't want to buy) as a way of working out how everything fits together. The fatigue is horrible because I used to feel like I was wasting a lot of my life and always on catch up. I've learned that treating the body I have well was way better than wishing I had a different body. Hope you find some things that work for you.
