Hi everyone,

I was wondering how soon can you swim after a laparoscopy?

Thanks 😊

Hi, are you doing open water sea swimming or pool? Sea water should help the wound heal a bit but not sure of pool water. The nurse would be able to give you go ahead on your last wound check.

In my doctors recomendations - there is written that you can swim or take baths only after 1 month

I think I waited about 2 weeks. My friend that’s a GP said that was fine but to make sure the wounds were healing well. I remember she also told me that to not go in the water for to long to begin with and to wash the wounds after with clean water and dab them dry xx
