Good news - Oxford Univ. & Bayer used a NPSR1 inhibitor to block the protein signaling of the gene NSPR1 (the gene encoding neuropeptide S receptor 1) in experiments (cellular assay & mouse model of endo.) - they saw reduced inflammation & reduced abdominal pain...found a future target for research & possible treatment
