Hi guys, I've had a chat with my gynecologist about all my symptoms and he has my on the list for a lap, he said if it's mild endometriosis then he will do the surgery straight away to remove but if its more severe he will close me up and I'll need a bigger surgery. But, he said the symptoms I'm having can be symptoms of mild endo and don't necessarily mean I have severe endo because it's incredibly rare. I know the severity of endometriosis and pain you experience are not linked at all, you can have stage 1 endo and be in crippling agony and also have stage 4 and feel barely any pain. I tried to explain to him that it's not the severity of the pain that concerns me, it's the type of symptoms I'm having.
So, to try put my mind slightly at ease while I wait the 3-6 months for the laproscopy I wanted to ask you all. Do you any of you have diagnosed stage 1/2 endo with no endometriosis on your kidney or bowel or upper stomach, but still had symptoms like flank pain in the area of the kidney, blood in urine during/just after period, lower back pain on a daily basis, extreme bloating on a daily basis, pain when having a BM or passing urine, left shoulder pain and recurrent persistent hiccups. Obviously I also have all the other typical symptoms (actually every single one on the endometriosis symptoms list 🙄) but those ones concern me because I struggle to see how I would be having kidney symptoms (I've been to hospital numerous times, no physical cause found) and blood in my urine if there's not something going on with my kidney or my bladder etc.
I guess I'm just worried that he's trying to make me less worried by telling me severe endo is rare...but I've seen so many women with severe endo that I honestly don't believe it's as rare as he says. I know he doesn't want me worrying, and it's his job to make me feel at ease, but I also want to be prepared if it's going to be bad and I need further surgery next year.
Any advice appreciated! As I said I am being investigated for this fully and have a BSGE registered specialist, he's very on the ball and is going to look everywhere on the diagnostic lap. It's for my own sanity, I feel like I'm going mad and these symptoms are something I should worry about but he's telling me mild endo can cause the same symptoms.
