Has anyone on here had any positive results from being on the progesterone only pill or at the very least, reduced symptoms?

I started with the POP a month ago and all symptoms bare gone. I do have quite vivid dreams but apparently is normal with the POP. I have adenomyosis and endometriosis and it feels like I got my life back after 12 years of agony. This will be temporary for me as in a couple of month will start my 4th cycle of IVF so will need to stop taking the mini pill. I hope this works for you too.

Sadly no. I started having hot flashes all the time, was initially crying over everything but within 4 weeks became angry about everything all the time. I was even more nauseated than I already normally am from pain, and I started either spoting or lightly bleeding almost every day. My pain was worse and more frequent (perhaps because of the frequency I was bleeding and spotting?). I stuck with it almost three months before I couldn't tolerate it any more.

That isn't to say it doesn't work for others, but for me it was a huge fail. Within a week or so of coming off the progesterone my spotting/bleeding stopped, the hot flashes seem to be gone, and my mood had markedly improved.

This sounds very similar to me. I'm on the 5th month and things have calmed down somewhat now. I couldn't weigh up the pros and cons at first. I still get days where I can tell I would normally be on my period. Still have horrendous bloating all the time and the lightning crotch is awful and embarrassing.

I still have terrible back and hip pain too. We shall see how the next few months goes.

Thanks for the replies guys x

I hated being on the POP, made me an emotional wreck to be quite frank! It also didn't really make my pain better on a day to day basis. I also bleed randomly, so I can't plan my life around my period like I could with no BC. My BC consultant put me on patches of estrogen to level out the pill, which has definitely helped my moods and my skin as well. Might be worth asking about! Good luck x
