Chemical menopause + heatwave = not fun!

Anyone else on Prostap or similar feel like they’re melting in this heat 😂 🥵 even on HRT the hot flushes aren’t as bad but still get very hot and bothered even without this heatwave!! Just wanted to rant because even going into the office with a fan is hell because of no aircon. I just want to sleep / lie in an ice bath lol x

Yes I feel the heat too and often very sweaty 🥵 on HRT too which helps a bit and has made a great difference to hot flushes and night sweats. Which one are you on? I have Evorel conti patches x

I’m on tibilone - I feel like it’s not helping like it should but I think I’ve decided not to have any more Prostap. I’m due my next one in September and even though it’s great not having periods the migraines / joint pain / hot flushes / weight gain are in a way just as horrible! Xx

I can totally feel your pain with this heat right now don't cope well with the heat anyway also been having monthly injections with no added HRT back, sending me loopy feeling hot and bothered all the time! hope it eases up soon for us! 😅 x

I'm not on HRT, hot flushes with this heat can get to much just makes you want to sleep, I'm having trouble sleeping of a night time but that is normal. Us women have to go through alot in life, the men get it easy .

Hello I’ve been on prostrap since March with Kliovance hrt I’ve never felt worse, tired, nauseous, horrible headaches and unbelievable hot flushes I’m like a Belisha beacon burning up several times a day clothes drenched having 3 showers a day, using ice packs for migraines. It’s absolutely miserable and top it all I’ve put on 2 stone. I thought HRT was supposed to help with the symptoms?

Anxiety and depression off the scale and agoraphobia I just can’t go outside. Stomach pains but I am a long term ibs sufferer. I definitely can empathise with you feeling the heat.. I don’t know what to do. My consultant wrote to another based at St Mary’s menopause clinic in may but heard nothing as yet.

Any advice very welcome xxx

So horrible that you’re going through that too but it’s made me feel better knowing I’m not alone thank you ❤️ Yeah I used to get hormonal migraines sometimes but I’ve had a flare up of them since Prostap and the joint pain is awful especially in my knees…plus the weight gain too it’s rubbish! Have you spoken to your DR about trying a different form of HRT? I’ve heard that can help if the one you’re on doesn’t seem to be helping xx

Thanks so very much for your reply it’s very lovely of you. I’ve got multiple health problems including hyper joint mobility syndrome, fibromyalgia, lumbar and cervical degenerative disease to name a few my joints dislocate daily but it’s got worse since the prostap. I think you’re right about the hrt problem is it’s been prescribed by consultant gynae at hospital and they wrote to my gp to continue the injections and include the kliovance as a repeat prescription so I don’t know if my gp will do anything now without consultant say so. It took 3 years from first meeting with her to get hystroscpy and biopsy done it’s been an incredibly slow process and of course my op got cancelled 6 times due to covid. I’m in pain all the time truly exhausted and a terrible insomniac. What a mess my mental health is suffering badly. So sorry to unload all this but I’ve not spoken to anyone about this and only seen one friend since March 2020. I need to get help with it all don’t know where to start. I totally empathise with your bad knees and weight gain it’s awful isn’t it? I hope you get some relief very soon xxx
