I am booked in for a laparoscopy on the NHS in two weeks time and feeling quite anxious - what if they don’t find anything?
I’m wondering if any of you have had your first laparoscopy and then paid for private healthcare insurance? I know some can be funny for any preexisting health conditions that’s all so if you wouldn’t mind sharing the providers name that would be amazing, thanks.
Also, any tips and hints for my lap would be greatly appreciated, along with any links to online support groups?
Thank you in advance lovelies!

Hello! I had my lap yesterday, the same as you I was so scared they wouldn’t find anything, but she found mild endo and removed it for me at the same time.
I would say just make sure you ask as many questions as you can, make sure your surgeon has at least a special interest in endo and has performed diagnostic laps for endo before. I asked these questions right before my lap, as I decided that if she did not find anything I would seek a second opinion, which you absolutely can.
Unfortunately I don’t know about private but just remember that you know your body and everything your going through is valid!
Hiya! Best of luck for your surgery. If the surgery isn't going to be conducted by an endometriosis specialist, then it's likely it'll just be a diagnostic laparoscopy. Either way, you should come out knowing what's up.If you decide you want to get treated via private health insurance going forward, I recommend AXA. They will cover pre-existing conditions.
