Hi everyone. My daughter recently had her first laporoscopy at the age of 20 which showed up endometriosis. We were lucky enough to get her treatment done privately through my husband’s work health cover. Once she leaves college next year she will not be covered anymore. She is bound to need more procedures in the future but you cannot get cover for illnesses which have already been diagnosed and I understand that the waiting lists on the NHS for a laporoscopy are very long. What are your experiences/recommendations? Have any of you had multiple laparoscopies and were they done privately or on the NHS? Thank you 🙏

Try not to get ahead of yourself I know some people use beneden health which is supposed to be good but also take into account that your daughter may get to a point where she dosent want more surgery also there are risks what come with surgery try and help her with diet changes aswell as they are more long term I hope I don't come across as being abrupt as that's not my tone it just sounded like you have already lost hope in her getting well again Her recent laprascopy should bring some relief and if done well she may not need another surgery it depends how the endo was removed also if she makes lifestyle changes she will have a better chance keeping it at bay don't loose hope to soon I can hear the worry as a mother from your post about the future please concentrate on what's happening now as much as you can . some people don't get relief after multiple surgeries and it can get worse From surgery anyway hope I helped in some way.Is her endo advanced do you know ?
Many thanks and I don’t think you’re being abrupt at all! Yes, I am a worrying mum. She has suffered for years and her recovery from her recent op is very slow. I hate to see her suffer. It is early days and I am most definitely getting ahead of myself but I just want to help and support her as much as I can. I am sure she will try everything she can to ease her symptoms and is changing her diet. Thanks for the advice! 😊
Did you manage to find what stage endo she has ?to be staged isn't compulsory but I was wondering if you were thinking about the future you may want to know how advanced it is at present for fertility Reasons
take it one step at a time proper relief can take up to a year to recover we won't know how much she has benefitted for at least 6-7 month sometimes a year it's good that you are here for her and can give her support she will need as much as she can get.she may want pain relief still but that will be the op .our bodies are funny once the endo is gone it's like our bodies wonder where it is to feed of it and this can be painful for some x
