European Countries with Endo/Women's Health Care

Hi All,

I'm 27 and recently (after an 8 year long battle with my GP, and eventually having to go private) after an MRI been diagnosed with Mild Endometriosis.

I'd glad for finally getting this diagnosis however slightly disappointed. The Specialist recommended the progesterone only pill, which is fine, but I been on that and many other pills throughout my life and none have worked great with me.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience or would recommended any other european countries & clinics for endo care/treatment for womens health?

I don't personally think womens health & endo is greatly funded (or cared about) in this country, privately or within the NHS.

At this point I would be willing to take a trip abroad to see/discuss other options.

Thank you :)

I would agree, acupunture has done wonders for me too. I am severe stage 4 and i have tried pretty much everything and this is the only things i have found peace with.

Ireland is not much better in fact we look to endometriosis UK for help so I'd say Romania and France are our best help as they have multiple endometriosis specialists clinics. I had no luck with the progesterone only pill either and a nightmare on the decapeptyl injections.

I know! Generally seems that womens health isn’t very well funded! Thank you, I’m hoping it will possibly work for me this time, but I’m not holding my breath!

If you are looking for a pain relief pills and are at any point travelling to Italy, then you can buy OKI or Okitask- the Only meds which help me with the pain.

OKI task is twice smaller dose but same active ingredient- is available with no prescription

OKI is prescription only but you might try to get it via GP even if travelling (And at the very cheap price)

Overall the only decent country for endo I think is Australia.

Thank you! I’m currently taking Co-codamol which is okay, better than regular ibuprofen but still doesn’t completely cover my pains! Would you say the OKI is better for pain relief?

For me personally it is the only drug which helps with all my symptoms (Ie not just the standard pain due to endo, but also pain in thighs, heaviness, etc etc)

But it usually last for only 6 hours :(
