Hormonal Treatment (Maexeni), is it effective as pain management?

Hello everyone. I have just been diagnosed, I have 4cm of ovarian cyst on my right. Pain management is not going well with me. I have been off work for 2 weeks now and I feel like I’m still not ready to go back to work as I really want this sorted out first. Doctor advised me that “The Pill” can help alleviate pain as it prevents endometrial contractions which causes the pain. They prescribed Maexeni tablet for 6 months. I just wanna know if anyone tried this medication? Any side effects? After stopping taking it did you still get pregnant?
