Pain management

Hiya,

Recently had my laparoscopy (6 weeks ago) which found endometriosis, for a few weeks I was feeling fine and had no pain, minus obvious soreness from the op, but 4 weeks later my pain is back again with a vengeance.. it’s proving to be difficult at work when I get the pain so does anyone have any suggestions for pain management? I usually take ibuprofen but find it doesn’t help much, or I apply heat but it’s not easy to do that when you’re at work.. thank you in advance, any help is much appreciated!

Sorry to hear your in so much pain again already, I use a mini tens machine so small people don’t even know I’m wearing it but it helps me through the day x

I brought mine from amazon comes with some pads and you can buy just them when you need more it’s also wireless so as I say no one knows you have it on xx

Can empathise with this at the moment. Went to out of hours, couldn’t do much more than I’m currently taking, did give something else to try ease bowels.

I’m taking paracetamol, Nefopam (non opiate), occasionally morphine, when bad at night. Ibuprofen, not so much at the moment as not really eating.

Wheat bag helps. There are a couple of other complications.

Hope you feel better soon.

Oh bless you 😔, it’s just kind of like get on with it isn’t it.. it’s killed my appetite too! Thank you for those suggestions, I use a wheat bag at the moment which helps and I saw online about these patches called ‘be you’ which have natural ingredients etc in and lots of people have commented saying how much they’ve helped Endo, so was going to give those a try too.

Wondered if anyone had tried anything natural as I’ve had like chiropractors suggested to me etc.

Hope you feel better soon! X

Hi, I’ve looked up the patches, many thanks. It makes sense as peppermint is cooling.

I’ve tried cream with lavender, but didn’t really touch it much.
