My appointment for the 3 month review was meant to be tomorrow (it eased symptoms for 1 month but then I bled after 28 days and have bled every day since causing pain every day) but I have had a letter saying that my appointment has been moved to the 29th December 2021 so that will be 10 months from my Feb appointment 😖😖😖😖

Hello that’s awful to be told 3 months and now the end of the year. I would personally find that unacceptable. You can contact your GP and ask them to get in touch with the gynaecologist and ask for you to be seen quicker due to your symptoms. I have had this done for me before. X

Hello Mic1810,

Call the consultants secretary, the number should be at the top of the letter. If not, call the main hospital and ask to be put through to their secretary. Explain your situation and hopefully she can get you an appointment sooner

Hello Mic1810 - I know it's not much consolation, but what you're experiencing with the pill is very common and it can take up to 6 months for your body to adjust to it. If you are having continuous bleeding stop taking the pill for 4 days and then start again - this should help, but not always. Alternatively you might want to ask your GP or Consultant if you can try a different brand of pill (or one with a higher dose). My daughter is on her second brand and, although this has been much better at helping control the pain, she still gets quite a bit of breakthrough bleeding. Her Consultant wants her to persevere with this brand for another few months, but has already written to our GP to suggest that she try a higher dose pill if it doesn't settle. The first pill she was prescribed was no help at all, so it really is a question of finding a brand that works for you. If you are facing a long wait to see your gynaecologist, I would suggest making an appointment to see your GP to see if they can help.

Hi Mic1810, has your referral been marked as routine or urgent? If its routine then that would explain the long wait, urgent should usually be seen in 6 weeks though this may be different with covid. Have a chat with your GP, explain not just what pain you're in but how this is actually effecting your life. Can you cook? Clean? Do self care like bathing and eating? Do you have kids and are they being effected by you being in pain? Things like this give the GP a picture of how you're being effected, which may make them push for an urgent appointment. Mine knows I have kids and I'm struggling to even look after myself never mind them, so they've bumped mine to an urgent appointment. I hope you get seen soon! Xxx

Hello! I'm so sorry to hear that your appointment has been moved and that your pill is causing you some bother! 🥺 I'm in a similar boat at the moment and really do feel for you, I got put on Cerelle and was told to give it three months, and now I'm waiting for six instead as they didn't think I'd have like a true experience just on 3. Low and behold I'm now on month four and had a three and a half week period, super heavy and super sore so I can only imagine the next few months being the same! It sounds like your experience is a little shittier with it being so constant though, so honestly I say kick up a fuss and try to get seen to; it's already an unfairly long wait to even be seen to about endo and having them listen to us, don't wait even longer on a pill that's causing you a lot of grief xx

Only just seen all these replies thank you so much for replying, They managed to changed my appointment for the 9th august.

I had a 4 day break from the pill and had a real heavy period (and painful) that has settled the bleeding.

But I’m just curious what it’s everyone main pain? Especially when on the pill? Just because at the minute I wake up with excruciating back pain mainly all right sided and it feels as if my organs are attached to something and it feels like pulling stabbing maybe in my bowel.

The pain is so bad! 😣 if it was something else like bowel cancer would it be seen In a laparoscopy?

In my ultrasound it was said right ovary was sitting real low so was difficult to see or get measurements due to gas but I didn’t feel gassy … I don’t Know I’m just fed up 😖
