So, after a long couple of years of back and forth, and being wrongly discharged from my hospital weeks before my diagnostic laparoscopy, I finally have another hospital appointment to hopefully start it all up again. I’m just wondering if anyone knew things that would help me, for example, questions or anything I can ask so that they take me as seriously as possible.
I’ve heard too many times that I’m just unfortunate etc., and don’t wanted to just be dismissed again.

I had an appointment last week and I found it difficult to be heard so was glad I prepared a few notes. The most helpful thing I found was I had a list of key items I didn't want to leave without discussing / getting an answer for. For me this meant questions over whether my coil could be causing me more pain, and asking to be put on the wait list for laparoscopy.
Be prepared to give a history of what you have tried and what you want to/ don't want to try and why. For me, both stronger hormones and taking a laxative were pushed before them even considering a laparoscopy but I got there in the end..
