Does anyone have any tips for dealing with fatigue? 2 months ago I started the endo diet, no gluten, dairy, caffeine or alcohol. And have been doing great, definitely feeling less pain overall, but the past week I have been so exhausted. I am recently single, with 3 kids, and I work part time. I can usually rely on the time around ovulation to give me a boost, and get jobs done around my house to prepare for my period, but this month all I've done is sleep while not at work. I take iron and follate for anaemia.
Thanks!

Hey! I suffer quite horrific fatigue too, it can be just as bad as the pain sometimes can't it! For me I try rest frequently between doing things, just take 10 mins to sit down and don't let your body get too exhausted. If you push through like I used to do then you'll usually find that the fatigue hits even worse. So if you have lots to do (3 kids, so I would guess lots is an understatement lol) then try chunk it up and have breaks, be kind to yourself 😘
Other than that, vitamin C is good for fatigue, but if you have any autoimmune disease then please don't take it (and always speak to a doctor before taking any new meds). I've also used herbal tea that's for energy, I think its by Tetley, there's an immune response one that's good for boosting energy. Up your intake of orange too, that's that's easy way
Just be kind to yourself too, you have 3 kiddies and that must be exhausting, on top of endo! I have 2 kids so can totally empathise with feeling like you have to get everything done, but honestly If things don't get done then hey ho, there's tomorrow. Focus on you, chores don't go anywhere 😘 xxx
Hi, has your GP rechecked your iron and folate levels? I wonder if you are not absorbing the tablets. Hopefully they checked your thyroid and vitamin D too which can also cause fatigue. Have lots of green leafy veg for iron, folate and magnesium to boost energy. Protein based snacks like nuts and seeds can help too.
My advice would be to keep goingvwith your diet, making sure you have enough protein. For me my fatigue gets worse before it gets better when I start really looking after myself. Like the body has a crash and then the only way us up. Take a few minutes every so often out of your day to have some quiet headspace and do some deep breathing too. The stress hormone part feeding endo is one I overlooked for years and it really helps me to be on top of that.
I totally relate. Sometimes it’s hard mentally because I will feel better for awhile then have a crash. Usually after getting a lot done around the house. It’s funny because I don’t pressure myself to have a perfect house and with a dog a husband and a five year old it’s definitely not in good shape most of the time. And I work full time But.... I feel mentally better when I organize stuff throw stuff away and neater and tidy. So I push through cleaning projects on good days. And do nothing on bad days lol. The cleaning is satisfying for me. I do it for me. I have a wine and go at it. It’s fun for me. Rewarding. But on. Bad day like today I just sit back and chill. My vitamins D was found low so I started taking that. Can’t tell a difference so far but just started. Best I can say is listen to your body maybe even log what days you feel more tired. I’m using an App called Phendo. Helps with research for endo and you Can log moods energy food etc. best wishes to you.
