Zoladex

Hi everyone,

I’ve so far had minimal side effects from Zoladex injections, however, had my fourth one two days ago and haven’t felt well since. Vomiting, nausea, dizziness and headaches. I don’t want to contact GP because I’ve been doing so well.

Anyone any advice ?

Hello! Sounds like a hormonal reaction, but I do think you need to phone your doctor because of the vomiting - just as a precaution!

Thanks for replying ! I have contacted my GP awaiting a call back. There’s literally nothing left to throw up just dry heaving now 🙈🙈🙈

I’m going to sound like your mum, but make sure you keep drinking fluids! And try to eat something like toast or rice while your tummy is upset. Sending hugs x

Thanks, I had breakfast this morning and a lot of water but then just threw it all back up again. I feel better that there’s nothing there throw up? 🙈I will try sips of water x

Yeah, you need to be slow and steady. Your poor tummy is going through the mill atm. And nothing too rich, keep the food plain.

Thanks, I’ve got on so well with Zoladex apart from this so I’m a bit annoyed. Would still take vomiting over extreme abdominal pain 🙈🙈

I totally agree, it’s changed my life. But it’s screwed up when we have to choose between unbearable pain and a risk to our health 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope things settle for you soon x

Thank you! My GP has gave me some anti sickness meds so hopefully that helps x

I just took my first dose of zoladex today and i don't know how to feel.

Yeah I was the same! I’m on month 5 now and having some side effects but nothing as bad as the pain I was suffering.
