Hello, I hope everyone is ok

Does any experience severe ovary pain? I have a constant “popping” feeling in both ovaries as if they are going to pop. I’ve explained this to the gp and they don’t seem to react. I have constant pain everyday in other areas but wondering if anyone else has this feeling?

Hi, I get this all the time especially when I’m ovulating. My left ovary is the worst. I have stage 4 endo and cysts all around my ovaries. On my left side my ovary ended up fused to my Fallopian tube punching it shut. Before my lap I had severe pelvic pain on the left side and down my leg. My pain subsided for a few months after my op but I already have started getting the same pain back again and after going for another hsg test my tube is blocked again on the left side so it is likely the cysts have come back.

Anyway sorry to go on about my situation but I understand the exact feeling you’re trying to describe and it can be very worrying and extremely painful. I find that heat is the only thing to help keep it at bay. Which is hard when you’re working or walking around . I use hot water bottles whenever I can.

Hope you’re doing ok! Xx

Thank you for replying I have the exact same pains as you, I’ve been to a specialist who has given me antibiotics to treat any infections there and then we are having a scan for cysts & possibly a laparoscopy if nothing on the scan so fingers crossed ☹️ it’s fine I’m happy to read on others experiences I’m so sorry you had to go through that I can’t imagine how it feels having the pain come back after everything. Hopefully you see some results and hope you’re doing ok xxx

Hi, i have pain every day sometimes severe and sometimes mild. Usually it is my right side. My period pain is unbearable and during ovulation my right side is so painful. Please keep returning to your gp or try a different one. After so many visits they have to refer you to a specialist. It takes years to be diagnosed and its just not right. Never give up. It’s not right to suffer in pain and believe its normal. X

I have a laparoscopy in two weeks at long last but its taken far too long to get to this. It’s not a common thing to feel ovulation pain and if its mild it can be normal but severe then definitely keep going! I take Mefenamic acid on my period but ovulation I’m not allowed as I’m ttc so just paracetamol and a hot water bottle. I wish you luck for the future!

Hi yes my ovaries are stuck down with endo and have lots of cysts on them, I had an operation and don’t think the surgeon touched them or got rid of any cyst now I am in agony in my lower abdomen and it’s the same kind of feeling like something wants to burst out. I’m taking paracetamol with barely takes the edge off the pain I think the only thing that will help is surgery to detach the ovaries and remove cyst if this is possible anymore. My pain is more central in my lower abdomen. Sorry I couldn’t be more help but I just want you to know you are not alone. Xx

Oh no how horrible 😩 it’s awful. I’ve had the same problems since I was 14 I’m now 21 and I have only just had an option of having a scan for cysts. I’m just hoping they come up with something as I’m sick of being told there’s nothing wrong. I’m having to take co coda-mol as paracetamol doesn’t do anything for me but even that doesn’t help. I hope you find some sort of solution ☹️xxx

Poor you, I do empathise with you. In my day, many moons ago in 1971, I had a laparotomy (full incision like a caesarean) as the laparscope wasnt invented until 1972. The surgeons couldnt tell what the issue was until they started the operation. When I was back in the ward, no doctors were on duty and was I told the following day that I had Endo and they had removed the left ovary and fallopian tube. Two weeks recovery in hospital and 3 weeks at home. I had this condition from aged 14 and continued suffering for years. At age 34 I was a guineapig for Danol which helped. On the upside, I had 4 pregnancies, 3 healthy babies (all grown up now) and alas 1 miscarriage. Due to only having 1 ovary, I no longer had Endo from age 43. I do feel that patients have to pursue every avenue possible to glean info online and search for research reports on Endometriosis. All the best.

☹️😩 thank you for sharing your story, you are very lucky to have your children, I’m hoping there will be no complications for me in the future. Yes I agree we do have to peruse every Avenue to even get listened too. All the best to you too xxx

Thank you for your response. I truly thought that things had advanced greatly from my days with endometriosis, one area being lasering, which is commonly used for Endo. I was lucky to be asked to do a year's trial in 1978 taking Danol meds. This was to stop all activity with my one ovary. Research at the time showed that if periods were stopped, it would trick the system to think the Endo was cured. It was a difficult year but amazingly when the trial ended, I got pregnant with 3rd baby and as I fed baby for 3 months, the Endo was less painful and dwindled away eventually. Never give up but do get yourself armed with lots of info and try to get a scan or ask GP if an ultrasound would be better.

Hi, really interesting reading this as I have been in pain on my left side for a long time. It feels like my ovary is going to explode and is infected. I was so unwell last week I collapsed. I am pushing for a scan but I know there is a massive waiting list. I think we need to continue to see our GP's to hound them to listen. I am even thinking of going to A&E next time I feel like this!

It is a really horrible feeling. Oh my god that is awful, it’s disgusting that they send us away and tell us it’s normal. I’m glad to see I’m not alone in feeling like this 😩 I’ve been to a&e a couple of times with this pain as I’m unable to walk with it, I’ve been sent home & last month was told that it may be cysts or endometriosis but there’s no point doing anything as those operations don’t work, and he told me to deal with it. I feel at a loss like many people :( I hope you get some answers too this good luck xx
