Hi everyone

Hi, is it a suspected endometrioma? I have a suspected endometrioma on one of my ovaries and I was told once removed it’s unlikely to return but I guess it could still happen. I’d speak to your consultant if you’re worried about it I’m sure they’ll be able to put your mind at ease
Hi! I dont think so, they didn’t say what type of cyst it is, just benign. I’d take it it’s just a simple cyst.
Sorry to say but I had lap in Oct 20 to remove ovarian cyst/endometrioma. They removed endometrioma on left ovary, tubes and severe endo. The cyst grew back quickly. By 3 months after surgery, I had cramps, by 5 months post surgery, I was in emergency with severe pain. The ultrasound showed a 5cm endometrioma had grown back on my right ovary already. I couldn't believe it was so fast. I have a friend who had to have 2nd surgery after 9 months, cyst grew back but now she's on Mirena which has helped her. Given that I'm 49 and unable to do birth control/hormone due to breast cancer, I'm going to have everything taken out to avoid further surgeries. If you do pill/birth control after, will probably be less likely to grow back or give you more time. best of luck with your surgery!
