I'm having my laparoscopy and hysterocopy on Monday. Having endometriomas removed and anything else they can. My physical health is quite poor due to severe asthma and long term steroids have caused severe weakness in my legs and I use a 4 wheel walker and can't walk for than about 20 yards or so. I'm also a single parent and have little support and no family. Any suggestions for coping with recovery? Feeling beyond stressed with it.

My recovery went quite well except for one thing: I decided at first I didn’t need the stronger pain meds. Of course the hospital meds wore off, the pain came bursting through, and I just couldn’t get back on top of it for 2 days. Took too many to “catch up” and then had violent nausea. Soooooo.... definitely take your pain meds immediately and as prescribed. I try to tough things out but in this instance I wish I had listened. How old is your child? Can they be of any support such as if you need a glass of water or pillow? If not, try to prepare before hand to have everything ready. Is there anyone else to count on? A neighbor even? Someone to drop off a meal etc. my heart goes out to you. I have asthma, stage 4 endo, and was just diagnosed with Sjogrens disease and I need carpal tunnel surgery. I pray for your successful surgery and that you get some well needed relief from it. Another thing: About 4 months ago I started taking citalopram for depression and anxiety. It has helped immensely. Some of my medical issues are just so hard to cope with and the new meds really help me just feel “me”. Vs before when I was angry and even having suicidal thoughts. I’m actually more “even” and pleasant. And able to deal with what’s thrown at me better. Hope any of this helped and again wishing you well
Thank you for your reply. I have 2 children one is 4 and my eldest is 8 though he's on the autistic spectrum so asking him to help etc isn't as simple without triggering a meltdown. I'm feeling quite stressed about it all at the moment and just hoping it will all be okay.Sounds like you've had a really tough time! I'm glad you're starting to feel better though.
Its not easy at all is it!
