Advice on the best contraception to help endo symptoms??

I would like recommendations or personal experiences with contraception to help improve endo symptoms....

my dr has recommended sterilisation but this isn’t going to help as I would still be having periods, I have been on the combined pill and these have worked well for me but now that I’m 40 my gp will be reluctant to give me that.

There are so many side effects with the coil/ implant , I just don’t know what would be best.
