I haven’t had my diagnosis yet but suspected in bowel. Wanted to ask when your bleeding or having a flare up do you struggle to go toilet ? Every time I feel I need to go but can’t .. or only a bit then when I wipe even after tiny bit there’s just blood?

Hey! Most of my pain is concentrated around the rectum area and it can be triggered by bowel movements. When pain is bad after my period I get this urge to go to the toilet even though I don’t need to (tenesmus). This causes straining and upset stomachs. It’s pretty horrible. I think this is why drs thought I had levator ani syndrome for ages. In fact apparently I have adhesions between my rectum and uterus.Good luck with your consultations. I hope you get some answers.
Thankyou I get horrible pains up my recriminations said someone’s got a hot poker stick up there which is happening quite often now on flare ups! Hope they find something during lap they make you so paranoid it’s in your head
For me I had bleeding from my rectum each period, in fact it usually started just before I came on. I always suffered constipation but it was much worse in the run up to my period. Lots of pain too on the left side at night.
I’ve since found magnesium supplements which stopped the constipation when I take them.
Hi yes history of bowel endo (went all the way through to the inside wall) and also have endo showing in my bowel via an MRI scan.
I used to get rectal bleeding just before and during my periods. Excruciating pain when passing stools mainly in the abdomen. Think I don't really get rectum pain because my endo is in the sigmoid..Both constipation and diarrhea.
I know you said it's all suspected, but I hope you've got a really good gynaecologist and colorectal surgeon. xx
Sorry to hear that! I was admitted to hospital in jan suspected endo flare up even though I’m not diagnosed! Had ultrasound which showed 3 different results but anyway! My symptoms seem to be either constipation or diarhoea when on period (bleed 80%of the time) and started to last few flare ups have bleed definitely from back passage too. Also the shooting pain up rectum so hard to know I’m so scared my surgeons will miss it
Are you at a bsge centre or is general gynae dealing with this? Is really important to have a specialist colorectal surgeon there who understands bowel endometriosis. Hope it all works out for you xx
Hi I had bowl endo I had a bowel resection to remove the damaged section. Please feel free to read my other posts.
In short I only had bleeding twice but both times were because I would get my pain at period and ovulation and the cramping would make me need the bathroom or think I needed the bathroom I dread to think how many hrs of my life I spent on a toilet because of that endo. I flip flopped between going every time to constipation it was the times I was constipated that I bled.
I would say if you think it’s bowel endo get referred to a bgse specialist straight away because gynae just don’t get it.
