So in a last ditched attempt to stay out of A & E I have contacted my consultant!

So I feel like I’m dying, again! The nausea is severe this morning! It was temporarily eased by moving my bowel, which was diarrhoea, but it’s now back with a vengeance!

So, no doubt, I’ll be in A & E tonight if someone doesn’t step in and do something productive!

What a position to be in! Can’t go gp because they’ve washed their hands, consultant ain’t interested, and no doubt, won’t get far at A & E either!

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. Sounds like a really frustrating experience. Can I suggest that you contact PALS at your hospital to change consultant? I did it recently and it's the best thing I did. I would recommend having a look at reviews of other consultants so you can say who you want to switch to. Topdoctors.co.uk, gooddoctor.com and iwantgreatcare.org are good websites to look for consultant reviews. the nhs is all about choice so don't take no for an answer when you call them.

Have you tried peppermint tea or ginger for the nausea?

The guy I’m under is top dog, at the BSGE centre I’m at! There’s no one else! I can, however, move to another BSGE centre, under another lead consultant, which happens to be about 2 hours away from where I live! So I can’t really change hospitals! But anyway, my attempt failed! I have been told I can have HRT? No idea what that’s supposed to do for an infection! Do I have an infection, no idea? I could just be going mental! But I’m pretty sure I do!

There’s 3 stages to infection! Local, bacterimia, septicemia! I didn’t throw a fever until I was septic! I know have all the symptoms of local infection. I have been told if I have any infection, even just residual, I will end up with a colostomy bag!

So anyway! My Endo is way passed any supplements.

Long story short! I was I likely had Endo underlying for many years, but I could power through it! I was athletic, busy, fit! Looking back it probably got severe at 25, but it never impacted on my life! At 31 I was sexually assaulted in my sleep, and that’s when my life turned upside down! The impact triggered a massive infection that no Dr believed I had! It took me 6 weeks from peeing and pooing myself, and having litres of fluid falling out of my vagina to get antibiotics, which resulted in a 6 months course and an eventual diagnosis of Endo stage 4 DIE and major surgery, which caused more problems than it cured!.. So I’ve battled on for 4 years to end up with pelvic/abdominal sepsis! Now awaiting further surgery!

At this point, I think the damage is so severe, that I don’t think there’s any ‘cure’ to my situation!

But I am sure I have an infection! So now I’m thinking that colostomy is in sights! Xx

Wow! That’s a LOT to go through... and still not being listened to after all this time! Hope today is a better day and that someone will do something for you soon so that you don’t have to suffer so much. xxx

That's a lot to go through, sorry to hear all of that. The reason I suggested the alternative stuff is because I also have stage IV DIE with multiple organ involvement (bowel and urethra). I also know someone else who has a far worse endo situation than me, passes out in pain, regularly ends up in A&E, some of my research helped her. x
