I have got my first Gynae appointment Tomo after being referred my a&e and GP... I have all the symptoms of endo and also have confirmed PCOS. The only thing I don't have at the moment is heavy periods but I have not had a proper period in couple of years due to be on the depo injection but have been off that a year now and no period just mega pain and other bowel and bladder issues. In last 6 weeks I have had to take lots of time of work due to the pain and repeated UTI and thrush
Anyway my question is does anyone have any advice on what I might expect to happen at my appointment Tomo what tests etc may be done? Also anyone got any advice on how to secure a laparoscopy? I can't go on living on codiene (which does not really work) and being in and out of work due to infections and pain (not related to infections)
Thanjs

Write everything down what you exerience, pain, infections, questions you have, medication you are taking, but isnt helping and talk about this. Ask about a lap and what can be expected.
It could be possible that the gynacologist will do internal investigation or even a internal scan.
Thank you was thinking of writing everything down today before appointmeny. My mum went through similar at my age but was never diognosied with anything so going to get her to note stuff down too
Good idea. Is she coming with you too? Maybe nice to have some moral support. I know how hard it is, especially if your mum went through this so young herself.
I wish you all the best and let us know how you are getting on! Any questions and we can try to answer then.
Just thought I would let you know appointment went well she suggested endo straight away and got her boss to agree to lap without me even suggesting it. Got to have a lap and a cystoscopy as well as MRI
