I have recently had an Scan for suspected endo and my MRI features suggestive of deep endometriosis.
I was wondering if anyone knew/ or has had experience in the last year with getting laraposcopy on NHS and how long they’ve been waiting for surgery? ( also can you choose wether to have ablation or excision )
As I am in pain most days of the month I’m also considering going private, Depending on NHS waiting list, if anyone has any surgeon recommendations ( anywhere in the UK ) and the cost of this.
Thanks in advance - any info will be greatly appreciated

My doctor gave me a injection every month , I had to have a full hysterectomy as my emdo... was stuck to my bladder and bowels as well ,the waiting time for surgery was up to 12 weeks it went quick for me .
My bowel is stuck to my ovary, waiting to hear back from dr after an MDT meeting. There is mention of having ovary removed but nothing so far about a full hysterectomy. After reading your post I wonder whether a hysterectomy will be offered to me?
Sorry to hear you are suffering, I believe private waiting lists are 6 weeks -ish, prices vary with each hospital. Give the private hospitals a ring they can give you a quote
Waiting times on the NHS are really long due to Covid, if you live in England you can choose which hospital you have the surgery at. If you search BSGE specialists you can find the nearest one to you, or one you feel is right for you and contact your GP or current gyny team to be referred.
If you can afford private, then go for it. You'll get treatment far quicker. My sister was offered surgery within a couple of weeks! If you're reluctant because of the cost, keep on your GPs / Gynaes case for the surgery.
