Incisional hernia after laparoscopy

I had a laparoscopy at the end of October and had a coil fitted at the same time. Although I’m still getting pains things have settled down a bit until I noticed a lump next to my bellybutton.

This lump has been slowly getting bigger until Friday when I couldn’t bend to put my socks on without lots of pain. I went to the GP who said it is a incisional hernia and I would need more surgery. He couldn’t say how long the waiting list is apart from it being the longest it’s ever been!!! To say I’m upset by this is a massive understatement I just feel so unlucky. After finally getting my endo somewhat under control I now have this instead.

Has anyone else had an incisional hernia and can share their experiences please? Thanks x
