I suspect I may have Endo although I’ve only just started my journey to diagnosis. I’m having a period every 3 weeks, the week after is ok’ish, pain there but I can pretty much ignore it and then bang 2 weeks of back pain, burning in my hip , almost constant abdo pain, bloating, pain on urination and fatigue until I get my period again and then it ramps up even more. Been to GP and have had a ultrasound on ovaries/womb etc. which didn’t show anything. Awaiting another on my bladder/kidneys because of the blood in my urine and cramping when I pass water but I think this is all Endo related. My periods aren’t particularly heavy and I don’t have pain during sex but I do get abdo pain afterwards and it’s not unusual for me bleed the next day, although this doesn’t happen all the time. I’ve spent the last 5 years in the gym weight training and now I struggle to lift a bag of shopping and some days walking is a struggle. Does this sound like Endo to you?

Hi, it could be endo. Have they sent you for a smear? Worth also making sure its not pelvic inflammatory disease. Try get them to rule out all the other obvious things. I hope they've referred you to a gynaecologist?
There are natural things that help if you're interested. Happy to share my research with you if you send me a private message. Posting links from other websites isn't allowed by endo uk
No not been referred to Gynaecologist, which I think she should have, she’s referred me to Urology because of the cramping when I pass water and the blood in my urine. I had a smear last March which was clear. It’s pretty draining with having a period every 3 weeks.... I’m only having 7/8 days of feeling ok’ish and then I’m back to square one again. I’m 48 and have had two children so fertility isn’t a concern anymore. Just wanna be pain free and be able to do the things I love. Other symptoms that make me believe it’s Endo are diahorrea on my period, sometimes have excruciating pain on opening my bowels and really bad bloating.
Thanks for replying x
Because of your symptoms, bowel and bladder, I would say to them you think you have severe endo. I'd ask to be referred to a bsge endometriosis centre near you. Check the bsge website, if there is one near you, check the consultants that are mentioned. I'd check their reviews on topdoctor, iwantgreatcare.org and doctify. Pick your preferred consultant and ask them to name that consultant on the referral. Xx
Thanks for your reply. I’ve just checked the BSGE website and the hospital I actually work at is an Endometriosis Centre. I’ll ask some of me nurse colleagues regarding the best Consultant and with a bit of luck might be able to get a quicker appointment as I work there. X
Signs of endometriosis can also be fibroids , aswell as other problems. You can look on the NHS site.
