Endometriosis and miserable

Feel so disheartened. Trying for child for a year. Was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis through laparoscopy a few years back. Was put on visanne immediately after surgery. Came off visanne a year ago cause trying for child.

Till now nothing. The pains after period after come back everyday. I also have adenomyosis and tilted uterus so I have anal spasms along with my cramps. The only med I can take for pain is acetaminophen cause it's the safest when ttc.

Feel so depressed. In pain but no child. Has anyone have any success stories to share about their BFP with my conditions? Or any advise on how to cope with this?

I have no advice but just keep trying- it took me 2.5yrs to conceive with severe endo and a 10cm cyst on my ovary, I was in pain daily ... I know it’s hard but don’t give up hope, try not to stress about it either x

Sorry to hear you’re having such a miserable time; I’m in a similar situation.

Endo diagnosis a few years back and trying to conceive for about 18 months now.

Just recently had a FaceTime pregnancy announcement from a couple I know, although I feel happy for them it somehow feels like a dash of cold water on my own dreams. Silly I know.

One of the worst things for me is keeping it to myself, not sure if you also feel a need to keep it private but please feel free to dm if you fancy chatting with someone in the same boat. Xx

I had the same problem for years. I went to Doctor after Doctor and nothing.

I went on the keto diet and lost 40 pounds and before I knew it I was pregnant!

If it's been a year, have you seen your GP about a referral for infertility yet?

You could take ibuprofen in the first part of your cycle, although I agree it's probably best to avoid it on O-day and in the 2 week wait. (You could also experiment with taking a little ibuprofen around ovulation. If your body is showing signs that you have ovulated anyway, then it's not likely to be inhibiting ovulation, which is one of the potential reasons not to take it. I would still avoid it in the 2 week wait.)

Or, I think you could take co-codamol instead of paracetamol if you're in agony? Ask your GP.

When you have endo, trying for a baby is a marathon, not a sprint. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself each month. I'm sorry it's so tough. xx

I have endo, adeno, fibroids, tilted uterus, PCOS and 2 beautiful kids!

It took almost 6 years for the first and another 2 for the second. All my friends were having babies in that time and every pregnancy announcement was heartbreaking not that they would ever know that!

Go and see your GP as after a year they should refer you to a fertility gyno. It took me almost 3 years under the fertility specialists to get to a point where we knew what was going on then 18 months to conceive my first.

I can not tell you it was an easy ride because TBH it was an absolute trauma but obviously worth it.

Do let it get on top of you. I was running out of hope so started arranging a trip to the Maldives which ended up my first due date!

Your welcome. I just wish I had more support like these pages when I was TTC. BabyCentre I found when I was expecting also have some quite good forums with lots of tips etc for TTC with health conditions and also fertility treatments and IVF so perhaps have a look there also
