So I’ve been struggling with endo for a while now and I always get bowel pain and awful shooting pains when I’m on my period and need the loo, however I finished my period 2 days ago and (this is a little graphic incase you needed to know) but I thought I’d had an accident so rushed to the toilet to see myself covered in mucus and blood which had come from my anus I’m usually not comfortable about talking about this stuff but I’m a bit concerned. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi Daisy2212, yes I have endo on the bowel too and this happened to me a lot unfortunately. Horrible symptom, sorry you’re going through it too!
Hi Daisy, that sounds really upsetting for you. I think it would be sensible to tell your GP about what’s happened (or consultant if you have one) just so they can check out anything they think they need to, or it may go to towards being seen more quickly if you’re waiting.
Hi, I get this a lot but they’ve diagnosed me with ulcerative colitis but I personally think it’s Endo of the bowel. Xx
I get this every single period now. It feels like diarrhoea, but it ends up just being period blood and mucus. For me, it lasts 2 or 3 days and then goes away. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis in the bowel and I've been told this might be when it's permeating the intestinal wall.
Your not alone! Bless you. It is embarrassing and hard to talk about but remember it’s important to speak to your doctor. I’ve been bleeding for 2 years from behind and having mucus,(the mucus is apparently the wall of the bowel) I’m no doctor though. I’ve been pushing years to get this looked into. I’m now done for cameras up my bowel and a hysterectomy. I think the endo is in my bowel now. I had a MRI that has showed it’s spread. Hope your ok, it’s such a long process to get help so please push to be seen and listen too. Xx
You poor thing, I have this too and it's absolutely horrible. I had a lap in July to excise extensive endo in the pouch of Douglas, unstick uterus and bowel etc. I still have this symptom and extreme pain when having a bowel moment during my period. I have the mirena coil now and hoping things will be better soon but who knows. I also have really tight pelvic muscles which doesn't help so I have exercises to do.... Its a bit of a nightmare!
