I havent been diagnosed with endo but have various pains in the right side around my ovaries, appendix, hip etc ranging from dull ache and pulling sensations to sharp stabbing pains.
I have had sharp ovulation pain on that side for as long as I can remember, but the last couple of months I have been having that same sensation near my right hip. It's too early in the month for ovulation (day 9) and too high for the ovary anyway. Does anyone else have this? What could cause this?

Hi Miss Pickles..... this is me! I’ve had this pain intermittently for the last three years which in the last year is a daily occurrence. It’s usually more painful after ovulation until the second day of my period and then is the dull ache for the rest of the month which still wakes me in the night. Over the years I’ve had examinations on my ovaries and hips and they’re absolutely fine.
I’m really just at the start of my journey now due to the continual pain and I’m so desperate to pursue it. I’ve had it confirmed that I have Adenomyosis as well as some endometriosis.I started the progesterone only pill a month ago which has had positive results on period pain and blood flow although I’ve been bleeding continually.
Do your best to push for a scan. They happened to find it for me in a scan I had for something else back in 2016. It was never fed back to my GP.
I hope you manage to take some more steps towards a diagnosis. Good luck
Thanks for your reply Zuzu! I've recently had an MRI and colonoscopy which were both clear (apart from pcos which I have known about for years). The pain is not bad at all at the moment, although back in November I had really bad hip pain for a couple of weeks which hurt a lot to walk, and prior to that I had an intense ache in that hip which was waking me in the night two or three times a week. I just assumed I had "done something" to my hip and ignored it. But now it's this short, stabbing type pain - just like ovulation pain- and I'm curious as to whether its linked to my hormones or if it's some kind of nerve or muscle problem perhaps made worse by lack of movement during lockdown.
What kind of scan did you get? Do you know if your endo is actually on the hip itself? My MRI was without contrast so I'm wondering if they might have missed something..
Sadly I don’t really know the details of the MRI so unsure where the problem stems but I’m now at the beginning of my journey with the pelvic pain clinic. I think it will be a case of trial and error now until the right solution is found. They know what’s causing it and I think that’s good enough for them, a little frustrating for me but I’m in the right track.
Lockdown is definitely having an impact. Spring is upon us and the better weather is heading our way so nice opportunities to stretch those legs (and hips) and breath in that fresh air. Good luck with everything.
