Really was unsure whether to post this but here we go. I am currently waiting to see a consultant to discuss my endometriosis (recently diagnosed) and i have been put on provera while I wait. Initially it was great I felt amazing and had so much energy. Everything then started to go back to the normal fatigue self and I noticed I was bleeding every day. Not huge amount but always have blood there. Then Friday night I started to cramp really bad and it got really intense and my body was telling to me push! Honestly at this point if a baby would of fell out of my only shock would of been that I haven’t had sex in a year but that would of been it! So I went to the toilet and this “thing” came out of me. (Not a baby) so took pictures done some research and spoke to my gp and it turns out to be a decidual cast which is the whole lining of the womb which came off in one piece and then contracted out of me. I mean has any ever had this or heard or this? At this point nothing actually shocks me but I would be interested to hear stories or answer any questions anyone might have? I had no thickening of the uterus in November so in 2 months I grew a thinking and then expelled it. Which i don’t really fancy going through again. I am waiting till Monday to speak to my consultants secretary to get advice on what I should do reference the provera as it may have caused it and I have a scan due for an ovarian cyst in a few weeks so they are going to check for any left over tissue.

Ever passed a decidual cast?? Because I did
Yes I had this in 2016 just before my endometriosis surgery- I was in the pill so it wasn’t even during my period, it was absolutely terrifying. I took photos too and showed my doctor and they also said it was a decidual cast. Nobody ever really explained why it happened, or why it happened at that point etc. It’s never happened to me again. My endometriosis was found in the vagina, pouch of Douglas and ovarian fossa. Hope this helps.
Omg thank you for replying!! It really is terrifying, I knew something was coming it was awful. I’m not sure where or how bad my endo is it has been found and removed on my cervix so far and I’m waiting for my first app with consultant so see about the rest of me. I’m weirdly so happy to hear from someone who has this so thank you xx
